Ingredients:
- 1.5 lbs boneless mutton, cut into pieces
- 2 medium onions, chopped
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 inch ginger, grated
- 2 medium tomatoes, chopped
- 2 teaspoons coriander powder
- 1 teaspoon cumin powder
- 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- Salt, to taste
- 1/2 teaspoon garam masala
- 2 tablespoons oil
- 1 cup water
- Fresh coriander leaves, chopped
Instructions:
- In a large pot, heat oil over medium heat.
- Add chopped onions and cook until they are golden brown.
- Add minced garlic and grated ginger, and cook for 2 minutes.
- Add chopped tomatoes, and cook until they are soft.
- Add mutton pieces and cook until they are browned on all sides.
- Add coriander powder, cumin powder, turmeric powder, chili powder, and salt, and cook for 2 minutes.
- Add garam masala and 1 cup of water. Stir to combine.
- Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce heat to low, cover the pot, and cook until the mutton is fully cooked (about 30 minutes).
- Garnish with chopped coriander leaves and serve hot with rice or bread.
