Here's a simple recipe for mutton curry:


Ingredients:


  • 1.5 lbs boneless mutton, cut into pieces
  • 2 medium onions, chopped
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 inch ginger, grated
  • 2 medium tomatoes, chopped
  • 2 teaspoons coriander powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin powder
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • Salt, to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon garam masala
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • 1 cup water
  • Fresh coriander leaves, chopped


Instructions:


  • In a large pot, heat oil over medium heat.
  • Add chopped onions and cook until they are golden brown.
  • Add minced garlic and grated ginger, and cook for 2 minutes.
  • Add chopped tomatoes, and cook until they are soft.
  • Add mutton pieces and cook until they are browned on all sides.
  • Add coriander powder, cumin powder, turmeric powder, chili powder, and salt, and cook for 2 minutes.
  • Add garam masala and 1 cup of water. Stir to combine.
  • Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce heat to low, cover the pot, and cook until the mutton is fully cooked (about 30 minutes).
  • Garnish with chopped coriander leaves and serve hot with rice or bread.
